Video editing software?
Can anyone recommend decent video editing software (Free or something I can find via torrents)? Just looking to block out license plates in racing videos.

Been using davinci resolve for my go pro and drone clips. It's one of the best free video editing software out.

How easy is davinci resolve to learn for someone who has no video editing experience?
I can stitch together a bunch of clips by drag and drop in iMovie but that's about all.

Should be able to torrent Adobe Premiere. It’s a very easy program to use and edit videos with. Should have tutorials online.

I was a editing noob and relied on iMovies. Watched the youtube crash course tutorial and it wasn't bad. There are many if you look.

Waiting on someone to start the lecture about how irresponsible it is to race on a car forum.
I've already been down this road on here. |

LOL but guys, emotions aside, he wasn't lecturing anyone, just properly naming what illegal downloads are. He may even use it himself, we don't know, but let's not call it what it isn't... if I use it, I'd call it what it is...
I don't anymore, ever since I got an email saying that I'd be facing prosecution if I continued to use it. :O |

Will never understand why people continue to use torrents without a VPN.

So it was a "wake up call" for me to think about paying for the software I use, or movies I watch. Nowadays, thinking about paying 10 bucks a month for a VPN service so I can save 10 bucks a month for a SaaS subscription of a photo/video editing software + the hassle of setting up the VPN and connecting to it before doing anything seems counterproductive... |

I learned about a free editing software here so thanks for those that contributed.
I use iMovie and Final Cut Pro. iMovie was free when I bought my MacBook, and I believe both only exist for Mac OS, so you'll need to use that OS. I like final cut, it's very simple to use and very powerful too (I use 10% of its features). |

Sensible software vendors offer a free trial. If they don't you'd better move on: those freed "Willies" are highly likely to contain malware (as a trade off ) besides that freedom patch. Don't run them in your regular environment (at least at once) even if you have an anti-virus. Set up a virtual machine sandbox and don't share any unnecessary (other than those to be processed ) files with it.
