Actively looking for a used i8 and not a single one listed has laser headlights!
Is it possible not a single person specified it in Switzerland?! This in a country we’re finding the basic model of any car is near impossible. Where almost every Audi I see begins with either an S or an RS. Where you’d think 911’s were being handed out for free there are so many on the roads!

Any ideas what year laser lights were added to the options list here?

I put in the order for mine in September 2014. Laser lights were an option back then. At a price of CHF 17’000, if I remember correctly (before they dropped the tie to the Euro), it was just plain silly. Don’t know anyone who went for it.

That's insane! I knew it was an expensive option, but not that expensive!
That explains why there are zero cars on the market equipped with them.

Retrofit laser light is available for all i8 models.

Price dropped down to about 9,000 Euro plus mounting costs.

I wonder if the existing headlights would have much value on the used market? 9k is a bit steep, but if a few grand can be had for the existing LED units the conversion could become a bit more feasible.
