When I turn on my headlights, I notice the light goes up and then settles back down to it's normal position. I tried taking a video of the headlights themselves but I could only see the bluish white light. This happens on all Xenon projector headlights, not just on BMWs. Why does this happen?

This happens when I turn my headlights, just before I start driving. Are you saying that the auto-leveling system is also starting up?

It's doing a self test
