Huh? The problem elephants were destroying crops and threatening village food supply so GoDaddy CEO killed one of them. Then the villagers butchered the elephant for food. All is good. Props to Parsons.

As an animal activist I don't understand the problem. Was Bob's primary motive to just go big game hunting? Probably, but it's being taken out of context, what he did was a beneficial thing to the community. The only people bitching are the ones so disconnected, to have no idea what this really means.

whatever, it's not like he tortured the elephant, hacked off its face, then sold the tusks, all while leaving the elephant to die a slow death.

bill gates probably hides hamsters, so if you're not into that, then maybe you shouldn't buy microsoft products.

apple's coo is gay, so if your name begins with f and ends with red phelps, you best not have any apple products.

maybe the people in zimbabwe wanted it this way, and didn't want to use silly methods like tabasco sauce or chili powder? maybe they just wanted this problem elephant gone, and some food as a side result? growing crops that elephants don't like? you tell the farmers that and see if they totally agree with you. where's peta to defend the people on that plot of land? with bags of chili powder sprinkling it around to thwart elephants...

I see nothing wrong here. I'm not a fan of "sport" hunting, where the sole purpose is to collect a trophy, but this wasn't "sport" hunting. And, from the looks of it, the ENTIRE elephant carcass was used by the locals for food and materials.

Business should go up, considering their target demographic.

But, for real... Good shot, nice prize. I've always wanted to hunt in Africa. I set up a safari for my dad, a coworker and his son to kill time for a week last winter. Unfortunately, it didn't pan out. I hope to make it happen in the next year or so.

I really want to kill some Big 5 animals... Especially a big cat like a lion. Caliber restrictions will mean that at minimum gotta buy a .375H&H. Though, I think a .300 Rem UltraMag would be more practical, but I have no experience seeing the wounding ballistics of either caliber in real life. I'm from PA, we're more of the ".30-06 or bust" crowd. lol
