How do you resize photos for this Forum's Sig?

I have lots of high res JPEG shot with my Canon 20D. When I try to resize it for the 500 X 100 / 18.5k limit for the Sig photo, I have a very small pic.

I have the latest Photoshop version. Is there a setting that I can resize the photo to have decent resolution and quality??

Thanks.

Thanks, I have done this but even a 500X100 image, I get a 33-45k file. Even with the low qual settings, the file size is too big. Is there some other setting that I can use?

Just upload it to imageshack.us and link to it using the "insert image" button. You will avoid the signature file limits for upload on E90post.

It is VERY difficult to resize a hi-res sig to fit the requirements here. Create your sig, resize, and upload to a freebie image site, and add the URL to your sig.

after you resize and you want to save. Click "save for web". it will compress the image so it fits most web requirements in size.

Use the crop tool or image size in Photoshop. Then save as JPEG and upload to Photobucket (or wherever you host pictures).
