Los Angeles Area Meetup In February or March

Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas has agreed to host an i8 meetup on a Sunday in February or March. (To do this I had to promise the sales manager my i8. I'll be chasing everybody in one of the dealership's i3s.)

We'll meet early morning and have brunch at Bob Smith. I hope we'll have the dealer's i8 mechanic tell us what he knows about the car, and then we'll peregrinate to Mulholland Highway, pass by my house and go the 24 miles to the Pacific Ocean, meeting up at Leo Carrillo Beach state park.

We will follow the route my old Knight of the Roundel 6er friends used to follow when we had 6er meets. But with a much more awesome car.

Postdady will be co-organizing this event with me. We will need at least 4 other i8 owners to make it a go.

We'd meet up at Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas at 8, have coffee and donuts, listen to some scintillating talk by the store's i8 mechanic and then go on our drive to PCH via Mulholland Highway.

postdady and I checked out the route for our meetup. We started at the Saddlepeak Lodge and ended at Leo Carrillo State Beach Park on PCH. Along the way a BMW M Roadster (2002) met up and led down the last 5 miles of Mulholland Highway to the Pacific Ocean.

We are on for March 15, 2015 at 7:30 am at Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas.

picked up my protonic blue on thurs... Let me know if you do another one. My friend 2 blocks away also has one. We are in manhattan beach. I'm sure she'd join as well.

Would the 22nd of March work for you? Postdady will be there, plus he's trying to get a guy in his building at work, so that could be at least 5 of us. Right now we have no RSVPs for the 15th.

Also, we can talk to you about the coding we did to our i8s yesterday. (It does have AM radio. But under freeway underpasses there is a lot of interference.) It's also a superb rain car. Sure footed, great wipers, good lights.

I really want to see the Protonic Blue in the metal, or is that carbon fiber?
