Exciting day - deposit paid
As the title suggests.
I decided to buy a used i8. This one intact https://www.sytner.co.uk/car-search/...w-i8-2dr-auto/ Did a Hoovie, cheapest in the UK. It’s fairly leggy but its only had two owners and ultimately the low asking price helped. But it’s from Sytner and story goes, it was sold about a about a month ago as AUC. It transpired the former owner had mapped it, the engine went pop, Sytner agreed to refund their customer and fitted a new engine, which I’m told was £9k. It’s having new front discs and pads fitted and some suspension bits. I was luckily enough to have driven one. When we bought the wife’s X3 M40i, we asked to borrow one for a long weekend. I wonder if any of the previous owners are lurking. |

Looks lovely! What kind of warranty did they provide? I always worry about one over 60k miles as you can’t get the BMW extended warranty once the garage one expires.
There seems to be a ridiculous gap in values between trade ins and retail at the moment. Valuing my 2015 with 58kmiles at webuyanycar (normally accurate for trade in values) and it £34k yet you can hardly buy a similar one for £45k! |

It was a concern. It was a Sytner select car as opposed to a BMW approved car.
Though Sytner (a large main dealership group) provide their own in-house warranty. It was £695 to extend it for 3-years, which I snapped their hand off at. I’m collecting it on the weekend and will post some snaps. |
