...and, if you look at the Maxhaust site (as was suggested), it appears that the Maserati Ghibli, Quattroporte Diesel, and Levante all have a factory external speaker (as their Maxhaust kits don't include one)

Contacted the company. I may become a dealer for them as this is our business anyway.
New version being released 9/1/18: You have 3 Stages in one. Bass, Treble, Cutout Mode, Overdrive, Intensity, Support up to 4 Speakers. More Info: The new hardware will have 3 new sounds also. One of them is very similar to maserati sound, from old unit. Very cool. |

The new version has been released. However, they have yet have to post any audio/video clips of the new system.
The new "Maxhaust Sound Module" is 299 euro compared to the 499 euro "Maserati Sound Module". However, without a sound/video clip of the new module, how do they expect anyone to make an educated decision? Their website is horrendous and releasing a new product without any audio/video clip says a lot about the companies organization (or lack thereof)...

The new sound module is also the one that gives you five different sound choices. However, without any sound/video clips its hard to appreciate what they might sound like or their sound quality. If you want the ability to do different sounding exhaust - then you need the new sound module. Based on my impression of the general organization of the Company, my guess is that the reason they don't have video/audio clips posted yet is that they don't really have their sh*t together. Their website is pretty awful and although they have an "english" selector, very little appears to have been translated. (I've been running everything through Google Translate). BTW - Nathalie (at Maxhaust) said in email that she expected new sound/video clips to be posted by the end of last week...

just placed an order for the new sound module.
Lets see how it turns out. £660.84 GBP all in with delivery is not bad. Im assuming this will have all the correct cables in too. |

If you remove the trim to the passenger side of the gorilla glass in the boot area, you will find a grommet (with other cables) that you can feed the power cable through. |

What an awful website they have. The product info page remains in German when you select English.
https://www.maxhaust.com/shop?manufa...91&___store=en I think this is the new one, with new sounds. Sadly still just ICE sounds, and no attempt to cater for electric too with some futuristic sounds. Last edited by JasH; 10-03-2018 at 11:11 AM.. |

Why do these guys insist on playing music when they should just be playing their exhaust sound? I don't want to hear their stupid music. I just want to hear the exhaust sound all by itself... Also, it doesn't appear that they provide any sort of side-by-side comparison of the 5 different sounds the module provides. Who designed this advertising crap anyway? Z4Driver: It looks like its up to you to provide side-by-side clips of the 5 different sounds! (Please!)

If you have any answers or suggestions that will be great. I have fitted the kit with the new maxhaust amp and I am able to connect to the Bluetooth using the app but it’s not detecting the new sound module. Any suggestions with what it could be? I have wired the black grey cable directly to the grey and green to the black so it’s not using the blue connector.
