Used i8 - Is 30k miles too much

Hello Folks

I'm currently on looking to purchase a used i8 , 2014 , based in the UK
  • Is 30k miles acceptable for a used i8 ?
  • What age-related wear tear/defects should I be looking for in a car of this age and mileage ?
  • Fair value in ££ assuming bodywork and everything else is pristine ?

Cheers

In the $60's would be a deal for the year and mileage

From Autotrader cars don't fall much below £50K, but for a mere £13K more, you could have a 17 reg from bmw with warranty and with 11K miles.

Good point, zagaboo , thanks.

However there is a 1-year unlimited mileage warranty for cheaper/older i8s when buying from an approved BMW dealer so this is still in the cards for me

Personally, I don't see a 30k mileage car as presenting any problem. At least its been used and any issues ironed out.

What I would say is that you really should do all you can to get one; they're great cars and having had a real eclectic mix of luxury and sporty/fast cars, I think I have now found my "long termer".

I bought a 3 year old car with 15k miles a couple of months ago and will put 20k miles a year on it. Love it. I'll probably have the highest mileage i8 in a couple of years . I'm keeping an eye on prices on a/t and it seems that only a few sneak under £50k if AUC and disappear very quickly (presumably sold).
