Why would someone give you any money to get a lease significantly higher than they could get on a brand new 2015?

I was told that when I picked mine up it would be the last month to lease one as well (in March)...so I was duped into doing it sooner. However/ if it is June 1st- for anyone looking to lease one- Memorial Day weekend + 100 (and change) 2015 i8s still out there +end of the month quota- will be an AMAZING time to pick one up for sub 900 dollars a month

Already knew that.....end of this month the insanity with i8 deals will stop on 15s and evaporate then a 1239 a month payment will be lucrative to a buyer on swapalease or lease trader with 5k down than going to a dealership getting a 16 and paying 10-12k for 1239 payment ( been there done that 4 times already )

Besides most dealerships have gotten rid of their 15s, so it's not like they'd have another one at the same deal, so it didn't hurt to ask- considering I live in CA.

Hey, I might be wrong. It's just that no one posts the dealers they purchased-leased from.

When I search on auto trader, there's 450 2016 i8s out there, so the discounting on those will most likely begin closer to Christmas time. (However- I do see one at 129k- which for a 16, not bad at all (BMW of San Antonio)

I will post dealership after I fill all the paper work on Monday and everything is good. I already got approved so I doubt there will be issues.
It was hard getting a good deal. Not many dealership wanted to play. They all thought $10-15k off was amazing and honestly, they didn't really care if your "friend" got a great deal. My situation was that they first quoted me $950 a month with 9k down. I told them I will sign the deal the next day. After 2 days, I e-mailed them telling that I'm not going to do it because I had to factor in shipping and there are better deals in the East Coast. I just offered $1,050 a month. I didn't expect them to accept... but the GM agreed |
