I love that the O's are in our division. Are we up to like 17-18 in a row?

The teams in your rear view mirror are NOT closer than they appear.

The post-mortem fireworks in the Red Sox hierarchy will be something to behold this off-season.

Yankees should cruise the rest of the way. My concern is October. I really hope Stanton doesn't come back this season. In fact, if they didn't show him in the dugout, I would've forget he was on the team.

Are you talking about Mike Stanton who pitched for the Yankees back in the day or the Mike Stanton we got from the Marlins? He’s a glorified hood ornament

Few questions:

Can Gleyber Torres continue to be Gleyber Torres in the postseason?
Jordan Monty be a factor?
Sev?
Malaka a ace or a fake ace (see Matt Harvey).
Will Clint Frazier be called up?

The starting pitching is still scaring me. We are not going to be scoring 8+ runs every game in the post season. We came up against a good team last night in Cleveland and got punked. Sev needs to come back strong and Tanaka will have to be perfect.

Well the Yankees used the opener method last night and everyone got shelled, even the once ‘highly touted’ Chance Adams.

He sucks.

Yankees need to face the Twinkies/Rays/A’s in the first round. Therefore, Cleveland and Houston can beat up on each other and it would be nice if the Yankees can secure best record overall for home field advantage throughout the playoffs. I agree that they won’t be scoring that many runs come playoff time. Better pitching thrown at them against our meager staff.

This is the reason why our bullpen plays a huge factor. But for the love of God, I don’t want to see CC nor that Lousaga or whatever his name is near a freaking mound. Chance Adams too.

CC will be cheerleading from the dugout. And the first one out, if things get heated. Gotta love CC.

Questions, me and some buddies are heading up to Cooperstown next July for Jeters induction to the Hall of Fame. A bit embarrassed to admit it but I’m a native NY’er who’s never been there. What’s the best way to do it? Some guys are meeting us there and Im riding in a camper with a couple others. We’re not staying in the camper but getting rooms. If the rooms aren’t to close we’ll be taxi or ubering there and back, drinking and all.
Do we need to buy tickets to get in or see the induction ceremony? Or first come first served? Any other advice from fellow Yankee fans welcomed. Thanks

Last time I was there was way back in the day 1992 when people wore pajamas and lived life slow. From what I remembered every restaurant sold baseball cards lol.

Sorry not much of help. As for the ceremony, I’m pretty sure you’ll have to buy tickets which are probably already long sold out. If you do go, snag a Derek Jeter basket.

As for the Yankees, this team never, ever wins out west. Except summer 1994 before the strike the Yankees went 10-1 out west and that one sole loss happened with the bases loaded and the Yankees were down by a run. Dennis Eckersley pitched a ball to Matt Nokes and the ump called it strike three. Ballgame over.

Thanks for responding. There’s nine of us going. I booked rooms for us last night. Searched motels close to HOF but they were already sold out or the ones that had rooms were asking insane prices. Wife searched for a while to find something reasonably close, available and fairly priced. Found Hampton inn about 30 minutes away and prices good.
Just got phone with guy at the Hall. Admission for lawn seating is free, just bring your own blankets or chairs. We’re getting 2 memberships for $125 each with covers card owner and 3 adults. We have one 8 year old with us so 2 cards cover all of us. Gets us into most things that weekend which isn’t in the top tier expensive packages. We also have a 20 year old who not going to drink so he’s our DD for the weekend should we choose to indulge and indulge we will.
Hope this helps anyone thinking of going to see #2 inducted. I missed Mo and Moose getting the honor, I’m not missing Jete!

^^ good job ^^

I also did the Howe Caverns which wasn’t too far away IIRC and I enjoyed it. Please make a separate thread if you wish and post your experience along with pics.

I’m Waiting for a call from from the Hall to buy the Membership cards.

We’re not going to have time for Howe unfortunately. Getting up there Saturday and back on the road Monday morning.
I haven’t posted pics on a website since the photobucket extortion a couple years back. The whole thing just pissed me off. Maybe I’ll get around to doing it for this, we’ll see.

My friend is a Redsox fan and I'm a Yankee fan. We had a typical rivalry debate in all fun. I couldn't believe that he said Gary Sanchez is overrated, and that Vazquez has a higher BA. I said yes, Sanchez had a bad 2018 season. I told him Vazquez also played more games, and has more AB than Sanchez. He said what does that mean? Ahhh, your BA is based on AB. You have more opportunities at the plate. It could go either way. He said I don't want to insult you, but your math is way off. He also said that Fenway has more sellouts than Yankee stadium. I said Fenway is a smaller stadium, and easier to fill. Yankee stadium has about 12,000 more seats. Average Yankee game attendance is higher than Fenway. No it's not a Stadium sellout, but it draws more than Fenway. This is the same guy who won't go to the stadium with me. However, he'll drive several hours to Fenway. He also says that leasing is cheaper than buying. He once leased a car, parked it, and didn't drive it for two months, until his lease was up on his current car. He said he goes to the dealership and tells them what he wants to pay monthly. I asked him what's the money factor, and does he negotiate the MSRP? He said it doesn't matter, because I always get a good monthly payment, and I always get a good deal. He also said that leasing is cheaper than buying. But my math is off. Hmmm ..

Last Yankees/Redsox series for the 2019 season. A nice whipping would be great.

Um, no. Tomorrow night. And since the Sox's E# is now 2, the Yanks can put the final nail in the coffin, so to speak.

Whoever in the Sox organization decided that an easy Spring Training was a good idea is an idiot. They've never recovered from the pitiful start they had this season. Highest salaried team and they won't make the post-season. Rays are near the bottom in salary and they'll at least have a shot at a post-season run.

Well I guess someone at thew Sox FO thought the same thing. They fired Dombrowski today. Someone had to take the fall, it seems.

Well, the Sox are officially eliminated from the ALE race. Not that it wasn't a done deal a month ago. They're pretty much toast in the WC race as well. The teams in front of them will not collapse, so the Sox have no chance. Pretty pathetic season for such a high priced team.

Yanks should top 100 wins this season. They might even beat the Sox's 2018 total.

Yankees pre on sale playoff tickets went on sale today, for ticket license holders.I have a partial plan, and I went on. Bleachers are going for $135.00. That’s insane. I’m reluctant to pay that much.

Why you no want to sit next to Bald Vinny?!?!

I wonder if parking will also increase to say....$80-100?

IMHO the Yankees need home field advantage against the Asteroids. I don’t worry about the Dodgers, Braves or whoever the NL throws into the World Series. However, Houston scares the living daylights out of me.
