why does the i8 aircon always run?
if the fan is on, you don't have the choice of having the AC on or off as in other BMWs. would make more sense to be able to turn it off, to extend electric range.
have had the Roadster a week and coming to grips with the technology. BMW Australia have had umpteen in storage and this was a may 2018 build, sold new this month. |

Can't say I have either, but given it has been a function on the coupe it does seem odd that BMW have taken it away and just duplicated the function of the fan button in its place.
Even though a/c may be less of a burden than heating on the battery, the OP has a use case for the button to conserve more energy - so at least for him/her it would not be a useless function. |
