Is it possible to get in trouble with the automatic parking function?
New owner of an i3 here.
Let me preface this question with the statement that I know that I am always responsible for the vehicle operation and must remain alert at all times. I used the auto park function and it worked flawlessly and very quickly. It frankly went into the spot and closer to the other cars when jockeying than I probably would on my own. Question: is there anything to be worried about? Any reports of the auto park function getting into a crash? |

I've seen reports of rims getting bent on curbs by auto park. My i3 doesn't have it, and I don't ever parallel park.....

Seems like there were a few early cases of this, maybe they fixed the programming
Still, I'd be careful on "sharp edged" curbs like here: https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/p...-wheel.922501/ |
