iX ConnectedDrive Issues
The ConnectedDrive services for our iX (xDrive40) have been broken now for almost 1.5 weeks - only 3 weeks after we received our car. Both the 'State of Charge' info and the 'Vehicle Finder' stopped updating (in the App) - however some of the other functions like Remote Camera works/remote climate control is working so it's not a 5G connection problem to the car.
I reported this about a week and a bit ago to BMW support - they have said it's a 'known issue' that engineers are looking at solving but can't provide any estimates on how long it will take to fix. We did all the basic troubleshooting steps such as removing/readding vehicle to our account & installing/uninstalling the App (it's same problem on 2x different phones) - and also of course checking for updates to car iDrive/Apps versions. It's quite frustrating - particularly inability to monitor charging status for home charging or keep an eye on that without being in vehicle. Just wondering how widespread this problem is - are any of you seeing this in your countries/cars? (we are in Australia) Not clear if it's also impacting other BMW models with ConnectedDrive too. |

Didn't know about that one (not suggested by tech support). Unfortunately that doesn't appear to have fixed it (I saw the center screen turn off and appear to reboot). I've tried to force refreshing in the app after that but still showing the same incorrect vehicle charge and location in there...
Would have been nice if it did sort it though - thanks for the suggestion. |

That's unfortunate. This lady had the similar issue and the fix was proposed in the video .
Hopefully BMW can properly address it with software updates in the future. |

I had the same problem. I solved it by resetting all settings in the iX and starting setting it up as a new car again. But the process took almost 2 days before I started getting messages sent to the car so I could connect it to My BMW app.

Same issue here. Just rebooting did not fix it. Setting privacy to not sharing any data, then reboot and setting sharing data to all fixed it for me.

So interestingly. I had the car in for service on Friday. This as the audio stopped working twice and it needed a reboot to get it fixed. They decided to upgrade the software. Since then I have no access to the car via the app anymore, status, location are not updated and I cannot controll the car anymore. The only thing working is the remote 3D view. Tried the above, nothing works. Tried removing the car from my account, deleted the app, nothing. Will bring the car back on Monday. I also have another concerning thing that happend. Will start a new thread on that.

Perto hi, so the normal reboot with just the volume button did not do the trick, yet pushing the start button 3 times and then the volume button did the trick right away. Thanks a million! the car immediately showed up in the app with the proper status.

Problem came back again.
Reboot by holding volume for 30 sec didn't work. Resetting the car to default and logging in again and adding it to app again didn't work. Pressing start 3 times and then reboot. Nothing happens. Maybe need physical key? Only have iPhone key with me. Removing all privacy settings, reboot, adding privacy settings, reboot. It immediately showed up in app

I'm in this situation too. So far, have tried all solutions...reboot, long reboot, diagnostic reboot, removing privacy then reboot then adding privacy settings. Nothing...no server connection. BMW had the car for a week and it worked for about 6 hours after getting it back and then broke again.
