Initially I was checking for Audi BEVs. However etron GT was way above my budget (over 100k) while Q4 etron and etron are SUVs with uninspiring performance.

When BMW dealer made much better offer from my A4 than Audi dealer that was it.
How would u rate A4 vs. E90? I did test drive 2021 A4 quattro before I bought my current 2021 G20. The A4 is relatively compact when compared side by side with G20, but it does not handle better than G20 at corners.

Also the A4 discounts(8%?) were not as aggressive than G20(15%+) in April last year, so I picked G20.

I am really looking to test drive a i4, but demos likely won't be available for a long long while.

I have had L2 at my home for 7 years now.

I have 200A service and can add a second L2 50A charger.

I'll need that second one because as it stands the M50 arrives late spring or early summer and I expect a Fisker Ocean in the driveway early 2023. That will be my wife's new car.

I like the Lucid, but I just can't wait that long.
If the i4s are delayed by any significant amount, it may well be around the same time as the entry level Air Pure. I have a reservation on both the i4 and the Air Pure, so we’ll see. I’ve got both bases covered.

My A4 is from 2016 when the current generation was introduced. It is equally fun as my E90 was, but in a bit different way. It is a bit nose-heavy and less nimble compared to E90, but has more instant oomph due to its turbo compared to E90’s straight-six. A4 interior quality and materials were also better.

i4M50 will be heavy but with hopefully not nose-heavy. And really looking forward to oomph and M-seats which are available in my market.

This guy is a regular EV tester. 180 mile range. 100-0%

Sounds like he'll be doing more testing in it soon.

Excited to see more videos, the comparison I posted showed the M50 within 15-16 miles in range to a M3P in the exact same situation, to put things into perspective even though the article states they left the rear heat on accidentally, definitely competitive and within scope where the differences can be minute in how each driver drove.

Looks like he did a range test on Tesla Model 3's as well during the same time he did a range test on the i4 M50, you can actually see the dash shot of the i4 M50 in the video here:

Looks like the Tesla Model 3P did about 218 miles in the same loop. In very cold conditions on its 82kWh battery is 2.66 miles/kWh where as the BMW i4 M50 with it's 80.7kWh usable battery range is 2.3 miles/kWh.

Considering the 20" wheel M50 is rated at 227 miles on the EPA range vs 315 miles on the Tesla Model 3P, the i4 M50's range on the 20" wheel may be promising and perhaps will exceed its EPA #'s in better conditions to test and not running at what seems like 90% express way speeds in the videos above

Would love to see a range test on an i4 M50 with the 19" wheels vs the 20" wheels, maybe one day he will be able to get two BMW press cars.
