Oh, sure. If I happen to drive towards an officer randomly jaywalking, I get charged with ADW. But some ped, just minding his own business, taking a nice little stroll after dinner gets clipped, and in self defense tries to get a rampaging driver's attention, and you throw 23110 at him

Lol! I would have to articulate intent to get that ADW.

Most of the precincts here are in very congested areas. Parking is designated for police vehicles only, which includes their personal vehicles which are identified by a placard.

I'm just putting in work. Do you think, even if I beat the 23110, that I could get a teardrop?

You may be better off taking the 23110 rap, as you could have a song written about the ordeal *and* get out of the draft for being too immoral to serve in the army.....

My vehicle registrations are hidden and return to my department's address as well.

When you get pulled over for speeding...because you probably have...how does that work? Do they see the badge first, or check the registration and recognize the address?

Also, do you think you'd be more apt to give a jovial guy like myself a break if the vehicle was registered to a professional corporation (ie. doctor, accountant, (not a lawyer), dentist, etc) so that you knew they were contributing citizens and not a trust fund baby?

It all depends. Sometimes law enforcement runs the license plate prior to pulling the car over and sometimes we don't. Either way, I'll have my driver's license and credentials in hand before the officer reaches my driver/passenger side window. If they run my plates, it comes back with my name as the registered owner, and my department and department address under that.

I do tend to take care of medical personnel, but attitude and truthfulness matters more to me than anything else. Like I stated in an earlier post, there was a motorist who I detained and realized she was driving unlicensed. I would've given her a pass, but she lied to me.

Tip of the day:

You can be cited for aiding & abetting while observing a street race, takeover, etc....and your car can be taken for 30 days.

{tears citation out of citation book and hands it to Mustang hunter}

See, this right here is one of the main reasons why I don’t do night car meets. Everyone posts on social media where meets will be at and say something like this:

No burnouts (but it always happens)
Don’t act like a clown (but the circus always shows up)
No loud music (DMX is ok-RIP but always loud music)
We’ll let you know about the ‘dig spot’ (street races)

Also, what if I’m there trying to stop the race, police roll up and try to take my wheels? Should I point them to UncleWede and say he started it?

One individual attempting to stop 100+ people from gathering?! That's a hard sell. One cop in a marked black & white patrol unit can barely accomplish that.

Hard sell indeed! I spent several years trying to solve street racing problems at the municipal/state level, after law enforcement efforts failed. Makes me feel depressed for days whenever I hear about yet another street racing fatality.....

Oh I'm sure that anyone in law enforcement that dealt with him was less than pleased after.

Care to give details or elaborate on said dealings? This didn't have anything to do with the FBI impersonation did it?
