Newbie I3 coding

Never really modded anything before and want to code my i3. Purchased a Bluetooth adapter, Which was recommended from bimmercode. Do you purchase the app(and is it a one time purchase) then plug the adapter in and follow instructions? Is there a thread for this or videos anywhere as I dont want to mess anything up. Only interested in range hold charge and extending gas tank and couldnt justify paying someone 90bucks to code when all in im at 45 bucks. Thanks for help

Makes sense, especially since all config changes (we are not really "coding" anything here) get wiped out during dealer's software updates anyway.

You've already spent 2x+ more money then I did on the supplies.
Good luck with your "bimmercode" path ...

Just coded via bimmercode it was soo easy and worth the price for the app. Coded range extender, extended gas tank and auto fold mirrors when locking. Any "must haves" that i missed?

I code the comfort access to allow for windows up/down and mirrors folding as well as the keyfob. I also like video playback through USB, but use at your own risk as far as keeping your eyes on the road!

I added the AM radio as well! We have some local sports radio channels on the AM dial.

I coded my i3 with the several features including the tank capacity of the Rex. I set it to 8.5 liters and now I get a Driver restraint system warning. I changed to the capacity to 8.0 liters about a month ago and it seemed to have cleared the error, but just today it came back. Has this happened to anyone? I emailed bimmmercode customer support, but they said that none of the codings would have triggered the error.

Did you get the airbag recall work done? Coding could have just cleared the code, but brought back the same error.

They are right - fuel tank capacity value has no impact on seat-belt warning.
Likely, seat occupancy sensor is flaking out, should be covered under warranty. Make an appointment with the dealer.
