My new Roadster

Changed my i8 coupe for a Roadster.. Really happy with it and looking forward to getting some miles in after Lockdown.

Any first impressions you can share? I'm tempted by the move myself.
The ride is supposed to be harder. Any noisier with the fabric roof?

Can you feel the extra 6 bhp!

It's a different car. I had a pre LCI coupe for 5 years. I really LOVED it.
So versatile and easy going car. The space at the back was actually practical.

The roadster feels a bit more raw.

You certainly do not feel any more power.

Yep as above you dont really notice any more power. Maybe due to the extra 60kg weight of the roadster but it does feel more hardcore and agressive. The sound is more noticeable too and it a very pleasant noise especiallywith the rear window down or the roof down. The upgraded software on i drive is far superior. Downsides are the sound system isnt as good as it doesnt have the bass box in the back - instead it has a mounted shelf which just doesnt sound as good. Wireless charging is fab as wellnas the new headup display in slort mode. You get a rev counter with change up lights and a gear indicator in the centre of the display. Its almost worth the upgrade just for that.

Nice car. Interesting feedback. I keep looking at roadster as replacement for my coupe. I'm really split on the looks though. Ok with the roof lowered, but to my eyes not as pretty as the coupe with roof up. Still very interesting to look at though. Thus my dithering

Any one have feedback on the fabric roof? Leaks above windows? Noise?

Thanks!
