Really happy for Iceland. Even though that late goal they scored put Portugal through. Would have loved to see Crynaldo go home. Oh, yeah, and he's still a douche.

Well I would say it's fitting. The sports world here in Canada are saying that Croatia has it easy on our side of the board. For them to face Portugal evens things out a bit for the nay-sayers.

And on another note... I don't think that Hungary and Poland are slouches this tourney.

I mean Hungary traded punches with Portugal and Portugal played mostly catch up. There are no pushovers there. Poland was impressive in their play too.

I feel there's a bit of an old world preference for the traditional teams here.

Indeed and that we can see !
The game of Germany sucks as well , and actually they are the world champions ..
But we never know because the game needs to be played .
From what I saw Hungary are no suckers and they are next against Belgium !

To be fair, I'd do the same thing if someone from a tabloid spreading rumors about myself and my family asked me a question.

The media likes to portray him as a complete, arrogant shit (which he can be) but he's actually a pretty nice guy. He doesn't drink and donates blood frequently (this is why he has no tattoos), a 9 year old boy with brain cancer had a chance to meet him, upon learning that his family didn't have means to pay for treatment, he paid for it himself. The guy actually seems to have a really genuine, good heart.

You know. You're right. He also had a tough upbringing and made so much for himself. But, he doesn't endear himself to fans and even teammates. He's completely selfish on the pitch and has no problem yelling at other teammates when he doesn't get the ball passed to him. Scoring and those records are more important to him. His comments about Iceland were disgusting and completely classless. It just makes him look like a petulant baby. For good or bad, he is always compared to Messi both on and off the field. I've heard that Messi is no angel either, but he is always about his team and winning. And also seems to have more humility. That being said, Ronaldo does love kids and does donate a lot of time to kids. That's why it's so weird to see his behavior on the pitch.

A tabloid also accused Ronaldo of being a pedophile. That tabloid was the same was the reporter was representing who had his mic thrown into the pond.

When someone calls you a pedophile for no reason, 1)they really hate you
2)but they also want to be you

When you bark at your team mates and you're C.Ronaldo, you're self-centered, but when you're Drogba, one ugly motherfucker, you're displaying leadership.

Wales vs N Ireland. This will be a very enjoyable game.

The Poland Swiss game seemed kind of sloppy but for the shaqiri goal. That little oompah loompah scored a heck of a beautiful goal to tie it.

One of the goals of the tourney. Probably one of the worst games I've seen Lewa play. He has to be fatigued from the 50+ games he's played this season. Poland were a bit lucky. Fabianski was the reason they got to penalties. They were also out played in the 2nd half and extra time. They sat back way too soon up only 1-0. And what's the manager thinking only getting his first sub on in the 95th min? If he doesn't have any confidence in his bench, they're not going very far. That being said, their PK's were flawless.

Nice job Ronaldo. Way to stomp on Srna's foot. That was aimed and deserving of a yellow!!

And then at 33 minutes. A fully planted foot right on a calf muscle. These Portuguese are playing almost as dirty as the Italians!!

I don't know it will be a tough one. Both teams stepped it up. My opinion only but Hungary's offense has been playing a bit better.

Fewer chances. Fewer corners. Way more fouls. Portugal moves on to the finals I think.

Does it matter that the ref of this game was Spanish?

Croatia played too timidly. On that they deserve to lose.

On all other stats Portugal was lacking. It was Croatians game to lose and they lost it.

On all stats but one... Goals. Lol

Actually, the Poland-Swiss game was the least boring today.
Poland had luck on their side, though.

I gotta say. I think I'm starting to agree with the experts. This is one of the worst Euros I can remember. I thought when we got out of the group stages, you'd see some really good attacking football. But, all the games today were really boring. Except maybe the Poland/Swiss game where at least the Swiss started attacking in the 2nd half. It seems the teams are just sitting back, absorbing pressure and looking to counter. Players look tired. Maybe, the club season is too long as players are playing more games in pre-season, cup games, etc. I really hope the next 2 days are better. I honestly think the Copa tournament has been more exciting.

There's a lot of similar talk about that in regards to hockey.
