Based on the pre-order offer:
MSRP= $60,420 Residual= $33,231 That's 55% residual on 36 months / 15,000 miles (maybe 57-58% for 10,000 miles) Same residual for the M50. There's also a $500 lease credit for the people that pre-ordered. Quote:

I'm only relaying what was currently showing in DCSnet. I put my finalize build in for the i4 M50, and that's what was showing at the time.

This is much more realistic number than 50% residuals. It's ridiculous these cars will be worth next to nothing 5 yrs from now.

jeez I hope it isn't 50% and closer to the 55% they had posted but magically took down.
I only keep my cars 3 years, especially with EV tech improving. I'm likely going the PenFed PenSaver route to get the full tax credit.

I'm going to do Owners Choice in TX. My salesperson looked it up. From him he thinks it will be 3.9% with 55% residual. OC has no Acquisition Fee.

do you get the full EV credit with Owners Choice since it technically is a traditional financing?

keep in mind there are two different programs. One for pre orders and one for non pre orders
im sure someone will post them both up soon as I am not allowed to unfortunately per BMWFS, however you can contact your sales rep and they can break it down for you im sure and then you can carry that info on

How would it qualify at $55,400 base MSRP, $400 over the limit for non-SUV?

So, our genius gov't officials want to move Americans to EV's, but then they won't allow us to write it off because of a probable cap? Yeah, that makes so much sense.

Actually, it does, even though I don't like the result. There is a price/volume relationship clearly in the general market. They are directing and devoting resources to middle market EVs, not luxury brands/buyers, for most volume where the buyers need it the most. The trucks/SUVs are higher, as those generally are more expensive than cars. But, the smart OEM in this price neighborhood will target a $53,999 price point and hold it for time, while managing revenue over years through option pricing for high-runner content. Heck, BMW could fix this for now by reducing the MSRP $401 and increasing the destination charge by the same.
