I3s Conversion

It appears that BMW has made it expensive again to do this conversion. Seems like both fenders due to the flares and bumper and the lights. Has anyone in the process of trying this or have any plans?

Does anyone know if the I3s lower center trim fits a non-S LCI bumper?

I am too looking to do this conversion, are you sure the headlights & front fenders are different? How about the rear bumper panel?

Not at all.
What's the point?
Just cosmetic sprucing up?

I'm just gonna do front LCI bumper. The LCI headlights (S and NonS) have the same P/N and different from pre-LCI but it doesn't mean they have different size in terms of the housing and mounting points compared to pre-LCI so need to find that out. I don't care much about the rear though.

I like the new Face and possibly even the Flares...

Why on earth they put the silver accents on the A-Pillar/Side Header to look like a BOLT still baffles me.. FAIL!!

(Dear BMW: The BOLT is following your lead and are 'copying' you.. you have already won.. till that move. Stop it!!)

I also like the flares for a wider stance. Anyone knows where I can buy a full set of gloss black fender flares and how to get them mounted ?

EDIT: The fender flares might be stick-on. I will go ahead and purchase one to make sure.

Honest question - wouldn't it be the same price or possibly cheaper to just buy an i3s? The bumper, fender flare, lights, paint, install... 5-6 grand no? And then you won't have the wider tires so that wouldn't look right.

If you bought a new one you'd get everything + the updated battery.

You confused me more. How did you come up with the conclusion that getting an i3s is cheaper when they start at $47K before taxes whiles i3s parts are cheap, yes CHEAP if you look at realoem.com. In my case, I am not converting the whole car to i3s look, most likely only front end only and that's about it.

I don't think you can find one off lease for that low. Might take couple of years at least? i3s still new and off lease would be higher than 20s$. I appreciate the insight though.

Unless you want to go without high-beams you'll need new headlamps.

Pre-LCI - low beam headlamps, high beam in the bumper with turn signal
LCI - high and low beam headlamps, turn signal in the bumper.

Putting an LCI bumper on a PRE-LCI car means no high beams.
