Here we go again (happening on my 3rd i8)
Wondering how long I can really drive it like this? I don't feel like ruining my weekend going to service… The car runs fine. |

I got the same message a while back.
While your fault could be something else….the fact that it goes away after a day or less it could be the same one I had. Especially if you’ve driven in the rain recently. I hooked up my code reader and got the fault code. Unfortunately I can’t find my notes about it anymore… but after considerable research I found that the code indicated there was a loss of voltage barrier resistance and that it was likely moisture in an electrical connection somewhere on the vehicle. I’m guessing that after the connection dries out the fault goes away. Here is an article about how the high voltage resistance barrier is measured and monitored in an EV to keep you safe from electrocution. https://www.vehicleservicepros.com/s...-fault-systems Last edited by Coastali8; 07-17-2021 at 11:32 PM.. |
