How does the AMD Athlon II X2 3.1ghz compare to the Intel i3?

Looking for a new PC for my arcade cabinet and was hoping to get an i3 processor, but if this AMD will be very comparable I may as well look at AMD too.

It doesnt. the i series stomps everything amd has.
