The lease money factor on the M60 dropped this month to .00125. I guess I should have waited 2 more weeks

Don't want to toot my own horn, but this is what I posted here on 6/7/2023 - LOL!

First, the $7,500 were only available on the 50. Now, on the M60, too.

This month, they reduced the MF on the 50. Not surprised if this will happen on the M60, too.

Nope, not at the rate they are being produced. Oversupply at this time

Do you know what the RV is for 36/7.5k for the M60 this month? Thanks.

Appears to be unchanged. The offer on the BMW website for this month shows 51% again for the M60 at 10k, so I would assume 7.5k is still 52%.

Thanks! I was trying to back the numbers out from the website offers for a 7.5k lease and couldn't get anything to work (I assumed they would pick 7.5k for the cheapest option, but was wrong). It all seems to fit with the 10k @ 51%, so thanks for the info.

with iX custom order taking ~90days (estimate by most brokers on leasehackr), what should I expect in terms of rate lock? It seems like a lot of posts I searched for a year ago, there were a lot of people who experienced months of delay, and some were able to get exception.

Assuming allocation available, no crazy delay but perhaps some minor delays with shipping, etc, what can I expect if car is not delivered in 90 days? I got 10% off, $9900 incentive, and 0.00111 MF from this month. If I car end up getting delivered in ~100 days, and the terms are much worse at the time of delivery, what are my options? Ask for an exception then back out of deal? I know there's upside potential but I'm worried about waiting ~3month and losing incentive.

I went with custom order because I wanted air suspension on 2024.

A few things here: first, talk to your broker and/or dealer to see where BMW currently is on the rate lock terms. There were tons of exceptions during COVID; I don’t know what the current status is.

Second, a decent broker or dealer is going to agree ahead of time to let you out of the deal and refund a deposit if the car is crazy delayed; this was my agreement on both of my last two orders but thankfully each arrived on time. Just make sure you have a clear understanding before you pay any fees or deposits.

Also, for what it’s worth, many of the delays have let up. For example, my car took just about one month to go from production in Germany to being delivered to a dealer in the Northeast USA. And my car went into production approximately one month from when I put my order in (but there was an allocation available at that time).

As long as you find a dealer with an available allocation at the time of order, personally I think you will be fine re: rate/incentive lock. But just ask ahead of time.

Thanks! It appears that broker's estimate (90 days) was a super conservative one. Just got production number and ETA at dealership. Production date estimate is 9/4 and it is expected to be in dealership by early October! Even with ~1 month delay it should be under 90 day rate lock. If there's some crazy delay, then maybe that's something I will be able to work out with broker/dealer.

Oh cool! Is this the 50 or M60? Or is the estimate the same?

Based on public info posted by multiple brokers, custom order 50 and M60 have same estimate right now but that may be off.

Mine is 50.

Assuming there is an allocation available, it should be about the same build/transit time. However, it seems, anecdotally, that there are fewer M60 allocations these days.

Multiple brokers and a BMW dealer told me that they had always been able to get an exception from BMW Financial to pretty much use any month’s program between the time of the order and delivery in case of delays passed the lock in period. Just a new credit app will be needed.
