You probably got one too. If you scroll all the way down on the first screen of the app and tap “Remote History” it should be there. Other than that I got no idea what it actually is. I used a public charger the next day after I received the profile and the speed was meeeh.

Yep, I see two "Charging Profile" events on 3/13/2024 within minutes of each other. Anyone knows what it is?

P. S. Interestingly, my "Remote History" only goes up to 3/11/2024 even though I took delivery on 1/30/2024 and definitely had a few remote history events since then.

I don't see any charging profile events in my remote history. I also only have remote history back to 3/12/24 despite definitely having remote events prior to that date.

I figure BMW either cleans up remote history periodically on their servers (unless it only stored locally on the phone) or it got cleared out with an app update.

It is when you make changes to things like pre-conditiining schedule, charging target, etc. whatever is in the charging and climate settings.

Ah so it’s nothing sent to us from BMW but rather when we make changes to charging settings ourselves?

Ok thanks. Someone above seemed to think it was sent from BMW which seemed weird.

Oh, makes sense now. The "Charging Profile" event name is very misleading.

Oooh, I though tht the curse of not receiving anything OTA from BMW was broken. I guess, it is still there then.

Received my car today by trailer, without going into detail the one thing that is missing is the 3/24 update.

Turns out after linking the car to the BMW app there was another 11/23 update I had to initiate.

This is after asking the dealer to make sure that the latest software was downloaded!!

I click my phone about eight times a day to see if I have the update waiting for me. No joy.

Just clicked it again…

The difference I can see is android auto loads lightning fast. Previously it would take 10 plus seconds.

My phone shows another update although it doesn’t say what it is and it says car is not ready yet for it.

Waited before installing and now of course it went away. Both phone and car are back to saying no updates available.

BMW giveth, BMW taketh away.
