You prior post made me think of them so I went to Yelp and sorted for most recent reviews. Glad you had a great meal but doesn’t seem like they are consistently meeting expectations, which is disappointing.

Abe and Louie’s is pretty good but haven’t always had great experiences there either. I used to like Domus (which wasn’t too far from Chops) but understand it’s gone. Been wanting to try Cut 432 and Avalon in Delray but still haven’t made it to either. Guess we need to try harder lol.

I haven’t been to NY Prime but hear it is good as well, but my wife won’t like the Pittsburgh style. Capital Grill is great and we’ve been many times, mostly to the one on PGA. Houston’s is good.

We’re in Wellington and there isn’t much at all out this way so it’s always a ride. My wife’s family is in Miami so we meet in Boca most of the time.

We went to Okeechobee Steakhouse last weekend and really enjoyed it. Steaks on par with all the places we both mentioned but decor a couple of decades behind. Matteo’s in Boca in ok - others in my party liked it more than I did but I didn’t dislike it and we are going back in a few weeks. Novello in north Boca has pretty good food but the owner is an a-hole. Vespri Siciliani and Lynora’s are (or at least were - haven’t been in a while) good, less formal Italian places. I think Lynora’s opened a restaurant in Boca now.

BTW, your hamburger meat looks a bit raw. Maybe it's just the picture. Unlike steak, hamburger meat must be cooked thoroughly to avoid infections like toxoplasmosis.

Egyptian fava beans

So good. Smoky cumin with coriander and turmeric. Onion, tomato and garlic with lots of EVOO. Diced lemon flesh and fresh lemon juice. With grilled pita and tahini sauce. Grapes for dessert. The photo shows 3 good size portions or 4 smaller portions.

This has so much going for it in the flavor and nutrition departments.
