If dealership losing money at iXs, they should stop taking allocations and stick at MSRP.
One dealership at my local area have 100+ iX stock+in transit so they can still make something at 10-15% off
Back in the day for west coast, 10% was shitty deal. Has to be 15% and above. All dealers in SF, LA area.

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum. Looking for a iX60, cost around $120K, so close to fully loaded. I see BMW is offering $9900 off the lease and I'm in the South Florida area. Are you guys also getting an extra 10% off the MSRP on these leases? Dealers, at least in this area because of larger demand is typically a sellers market, so the deals, I've noticed are not the best compared to other areas.

Let me know. Thank you

Yes, you can totally get around 10% off MSRP on a custom order on top of the $9900 lease credit. Current stock, discounts can even be slightly higher.

If you follow the guide, you should get a good deal regardless of your specific local dealer situation.

One of the critical considerations is market. As others have posted CA is flooded with iX cars and deals are rampant. But in other markets, like southeast, it is more difficult to get CA-level deals without a broker.

One of the brokers in the commented somewhere that Florida is especially difficult to get max retail deals.

Here in Florida, I got the $9,900 lease assistance and 5 percent off MSRP (and a decent trade-in) for a May order with August delivery, and I was glad to get it.

You might want to consider a broker if local dealers are not giving you a good deal. Through a broker I got 9% off MSRP plus the $9900 lease credit on a special order iX M60. It was a very easy process.

I may go that route. I've been in contact with local dealer, whom I've bought 2 other X5s through and they are so tight. I feel like I definitely get a better deal through a broker for sure.

How to calculate interest in lease?

Assuming the MSRP is $100K and residual is $53K.
You get 10% off MSRP and $10K BMW rebate, so the adjusted capitalized cost is $80K. Does the interest accure daily on the $80K balance or just the $27K+ lease payments?

Thanks

Interest accrues on the entire balance. That's why putting down MSDs can help so much. It might be saving you only 1.5%, but it's against an entire $80K over 3 years, which adds up.

In most states, taxes are only calculated against the lease payments, so that's a nice benefit.

Interest accrues on the amount the leasing company paid for the car. The easy button is to just play with the lease payment calculation. Here's the super simple Excel formula for calculating a lease payment.

Payment = PMT(APR/12,Months,- Net Sale Price,Residual,1)

The Net Sale Price is what you would pay, after the dealer adds their DIO, markup (or discount), private offer, federal subsidy, etc., and it must be a negative number in the formula.

As I'm sure you know, a good rule of thumb is you can decrease the residual by around 1% of each tier of mileage. According to the BMWUSA website the RV for iXM60 with a 36 month/10,000 mile lease is 51%. So you can assume 50% for 12K, and 49% for 15K. This should allow you to approximate payments within ~$50/month.

Another approach to get the cheapest lease and the assume you will pre-buy extra mileage near the end of the lease for $0.25/mile. So if you get a 10,000 miles/year lease (over three years would be 30,000 miles), and you exceed it by 20,000 miles (you use 50,000 miles over 3 years), you'd owe approximately in $5,000 extra fees at lease end. Spread that amount over three years that's roughly $138/month. (It's actually less than $138/month if you consider the interest that could be earned on that money over 36 months).

Edit: fixed mistake in RV for 10,000 mile/year lease.

According to the BMWUSA website the RV for iXM60 with a 36 month/7,500 mile lease is 51%. So you can assume 50% for 10K, 49% for 12K and 48% for 15K. This should allow you to approximate payments within ~$50/month.

Another approach to get the cheapest lease and the assume you will pre-buy extra mileage near the end of the lease for $0.25/mile. So if you get a 7,500 miles/year lease (over three years would be 22,500 miles), and you exceed it by 27,500 miles (you 50,000 miles in 3 years), you'd owe approximately in $6,875 extra fees at lease end. Spread that amount over three years that's roughly $190/month. (It's actually less than $190/month if you consider the interest that could be earned on that money over 36 months).
I am pretty sure RVs for M60 are 7,500 - 52%, 10,000 - 51%, 12,000 - 50%, basically 2% less than xDrive50.

Hmmm....is it slightly different per zip code? The Oct 2023 lease offer I get for Los Angeles from the BMW USA website (Click See More on that page for details) is a "Purchase option price at lease end is $57,372" based on an "MSRP of $112,495"

Edit: after double checking you are correct @javapro. It's 52% for 7,500 miles/year and 51% for 10,000/miles/year, and so on.

Concur - I also got 52% residual value for a M60 36/7500 lease.

My mistake. The current lease offer on the BMW USA website is indeed a RV of 51% for 10,000 miles. I'll update my original reply.

got quick quote from ATL dealer for IX M60:

5% off MSRP plus 9900. Told them I'll take not less than 10% off when they want to sell the car. I really don't need a car so time is on my side.

Nally BMW? Yeah, they don't want to sell their cars. But, Gwinnett BMW gave me an offer on a white M60 at about 10% off MSRP plus the $9,900. I declined, because I really wanted a red or blue one. But I was close to pulling the trigger...

The blue is nice. I need to see the red in natural light. I’ve only seen it in a parking garage and it wasn’t a good look with the yellowish lighting.

The red is good looking. Nally had (still has 2.5 months later) a red one that I went to buy. But their best offer was 5% off MSRP and 0.00155 MF. Hard nope.

I currently have a ix50 to order in 111 status. If someone wants to custom order a vehicle to their liking and get a great deal without negotiating, then shoot me a message. Preferably someone in the Carolinas or GA, but would be open to others as long as you are picking up in-store.
