Do you use CarPlay? Is there any change in the maps app?

Mine returned today after a brake fluid and microfilter and inspection service for £450. Bonus 3/24 software on id8. The fonts on hud and the drivers display are sharper/different. Not sure if I like it tbh. The older font was regular/boring. Haven't had time to check if any other changes.

Yeah I noticed the fonts too. I was on 7/2023 before and there was a font mismatch between the main display and the infotainment display. They match now. It could be my imagination, but I think wireless carplay picks up much faster now. I honestly can't find any other difference and I poked around quite a bit. It's been 6 days now and the app cleared the recall notice but still thinks I'm on 7/2023.

I'm not expecting much since I'm still on ID8. I guess I just need to enjoy the $40k depreciation hit.

I spoke too soon. The app now says I'm on 03/2024.25, but doesn't give any details about it like it did for previous versions.

I wonder if I'm imagining it but the suspension feels a lot smoother overall. I'm on non air.

I don't use Apple Maps. There are no visible change to speak of.

Vehicle status, scroll down to remote software upgrade and press that.

Extremely reliable.

I was about at about a 60-70% success rate at startup. It's been 100% since the update.

I use CarPlay and the maps for driver display are now fully featured and 3D, but I didn’t need a new iDrive, just the new iOS 17.4. It does seem to take a minute to download and show the new map when I drive into a new area, until then it shows just the basic CarPlay map.

I'm on 11/2023.54 and have zero issues with Carplay and my iPhone 12 Pro Max on 17.2.1. It loads up as soon as I get in the car.

Seems to be quite expansive update according to description.
