It's been awhile since I've been on the i8 configurator at BMWUSA.com. I was playing around with it today and discovered that it will no longer allow one to choose Crystal White Pearl Metallic with the style 625 turbine wheels (my favorite combination). I know that combination was available with the 2014 cars, but am curious why they restricted it on the 2015 models.

In fact, checking different combinations, it appears the 625 turbines can only be paired with the Sophisto Grey or Ionic Silver with frozen blue accent. To be honest, I've never been crazy about either of the wheels, so am hopeful there will be some other options in a few years when I might be in the market for an i8 after my 550i lease expires.
