iX lauded in comparison vs. New Range Rover Sport and Cayenne Coupe [CAR Magazine]
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com https://www.carmagazine.co.uk/car-re...nne-gts-coupe/ "The BMW iX M60 is a special car, and so nearly our winner. Its foundations are rock solid, not least a chassis that rides better than either rival and yet still humbles even the most daunting roads at scarcely credible speeds But it’s what the iX layers onto this hugely competent core that makes you yearn to spend more time with it. The vast, light-filled atrium of an interior; the stunning displays (backed up by a powerful yet entirely user-friendly interface); the hushed serenity on the move that has to be experienced to be believed; the zero-lag and incendiary powertrain." |

Don’t forget the last paragraph/paragraph after:
“The iX M60 oozes ambition. Where the Cayenne and Range Rover Sport feel like traditional SUVs, albeit beautifully evolved and resolved, the bespoke, clean-sheet iX is the fast SUV thoroughly and thrillingly re-imagined.” |

BMW still has the edge in delivering the ultimate driving experience wrt composure and performance. I always thought that other brands would be able to 'reset' their backlog with BEV, but apparently, they are not!?

don't think really, besides the styling discussions, it's still one of the ultimate masterpieces with respect to driving experience and composure. That's what finally matters. Or do you see this differently? Just asking.

I’ve walked around, sat in and examined the iX closely. There is no way I’d choose it over the Porsche. The interior is strange right down to where the door handle position is located, the screen and lack of physical controls is annoying and the styling isn’t even close between the two. The design is what I’d call forced/trying to hard.
I’m a big BMW fan (owned 3 M cars including my current manual G80) but would take the ICE platform of the Porsche any day.

I’m getting the RR Sport over both the Cayenne and iX.

Anyone associating a 2.5 tonne SUV with the 'ultimate driving experience' has a very strange perception about what constitutes the ultimate driving experience, and how it relates to composure and performance.

Porsche ususally tops these lists. I know Consumer Reports had BMW in the top three for 2022, but where else is it beating Porsche. As a single data point, I have had zero issues in 2 1/2 years with my 2020 Cayenne, meanwhile my G01 had the pssenger seat mat replaced 3 times (air bag sensor) and my iX M60 has so many recalls it isn’t even funny, most were software, but driver’s airbag isn’t. Apso came with bad glass from the factory and BMWDE just let a group sit in an overflow lot for months, supposedly waiting on a wiring harness that would have to be fit at VPC anyway.

The amount of Range Rovers you'll see in Switzerland is nauseating.

None of these is better than the other, just pick which works best. I’d take the GTS over the others any day of the week, but I’m biased and have found their GTS cars to be perfect
