I4 35 and 40 difference

So the BMW said I could get a I4 35 and get a $7500 break on it from BMW if I finance. So he went on to say, I could use the $7500 as the down and fist bill and just pay the monthly for the vehicle.
But that sounds too good to be true.
He said all I loose is the extra HP and range.
But as I'm looking online, I don't get the M-Sport. Comes with 18in rims, I can still get the DAPP, PAP, Premium pkg. HUD, Ventilated seats, H&K Audio.

The i4 40, I can get it with the M-Sport, and icon adaptive headlights.

Didn't the i4 come with adaptive suspension or is that only an option with the 330e?

Besides looking "Stock" without the M-Sport body, I guess it would be ok to go down a model.

Whats your take?

Another difference is in the battery size and charging speed. The e35 has less range than the e40 because it has a 66 kWh battery vs 80 kWh for the e40. It charges a bit slower than the e40 so that in about 30 minutes, it gains 180 miles of range vs about 210 miles for the e40 with 18" wheels.

No MSport and No fancy lights. I have the 35 and the LED lights are plenty bright. When I compare it to my X7 Laser headlights it is something I can live without. Both models have the rear air suspension.

Here are my options and honestly don't feel like anything is lacking or wish I had except wanting the 18" for a little more range.

19" Bi-color Gunmetal Grey Wheels, Style855 with All-season Non RFT
Driving Assistance Professional Package
Harman Kardon surround sound system
Live Cockpit Pro (incl. Navi)
Parking Assistance Package
Premium Package
Wireless Device Charging

I have 19" on mine and BMW published range I think is 230, I am getting about 220. So if you get them with 18s then you are looking at about 240-250 vs published at 260 based on a 66KW battery.

From a HP you will not feel much of a difference between 0-70 or so. Where you feel like you have hit a ceiling is around 75+. Trying to get from 80 to 90 it does feel like it has to work a little to get there versus say 20 to 60 where it throws you back.

unless something has changed, the 7500 is NOT a purchase it is a lease. If you intend to purchase you can lease it to get the 7500 and then turn around and pay it off. For example, my MSRP was a little over 59K plus taxes tags etc. I paid 2K down, my payoff should I want to buy it is 51K.

After having it for 3 weeks I have no regrets. I was not in the market for a vehicle, it was the upfront 7500 that roped me in.

Adaptive suspension is on the i4 M50 but may not be available on all variants and markets.

If you don't need/want the additional range, the cost difference makes the choice an easy one IMHO. I've had a few EV's and I'd guess that your actual need for range is probably less than what you might think.

Right. so its a leasing is the $7500. But financing does not give the discount. So simplified math. If the car is $60k, I lease it. I get $7500 to help cover the first bill and down payments etc. If I turn around and say I want to buy the car, they are not gonna say, ok then you owe $52500 for it, right? They'll say I owe like 60k still because the 7500 I used was for down payment and whatever warranty that I got it with (like GAP insurance). So will I still be saving money? The way the salesperson talked made it sound simple to get the 7500 off the cost of the vehicle and save on the car.

The things I'd want to know, in writing, are; 1.) What is the minimum length of time before I can pay off the lease completely. 2.) What if any financial penalties or "fees" would I encounter if/when I were to pay off the lease. I've bought vehicles before where I paid off the loan or the lease before the first payment came due, without any penalties or additional costs. But the devil can be in the details, so just be sure to read all the fine print.
