Finally Picked Up <> BSM/Oyster M50

Hey all!

Was one of tbe unlucky few who had bad battery cells post productions. My car got shipped on the Auto Energy vessel, to the wrong coast at first, and then sat at VPC for ~5 months before getting fixed.

Nearly jumped ship, but stuck through in the end. Got the call last week. Flew out this morning to pick up the car. Totally worth it.

Got it this morning. Drove 220 miles so far. Inaugural first charge at my first station I deployed!

This will be my company’s test car for the chargers we deploy and prototypes we produce. It’s in Chicago right now. My HQ is in progress in Austin. Look like a road trip down is due soon.

Good looking car. 8 months total is not too bad. My car also was part of the bad battery cells recall post delivery. My wait time was around 1 year for the original delivery and around 3 months for the battery recall.

Thanks for the photos - lools great! I ordered Oyster leather in my Sanremo Green M50. Sometimes it looks white and sometimes it has a bit of grey or even light beige in photos. What is it like in person? Hoping not too white. The little samples at the dealer were not helpful.

It’s not pure white, like tesla, but it’s also not beige looking in anyways. Similar to Porsche’s chalk interior, but a slight warmer hue.

Should wear well over time. The BMW “bread and butter” leathers tend to be easy to care for from my experience.

Mod wise, I’m thinking wheels. My friend on the BM3 dev team wants a crack at reading the computer. So we’ll probably find sometime to do that.

Charger wise, we have a lot in progress right now. Hopefully some more content there soon.
