Can confirm that I also got the software fix done on my car, but they are still waiting on parts for another stop sale issue.

Ok. Seems like the recall page updated. Might be worth a check for you guys. Unfortunately for me, not great news

I4 eDrive 40 Stop Sale

So our car arrived to the US on Dec 4, having been dispatched from the factory early November. Still no car and no word, or effort, to update us on the estimated arrival to the dealer.

The software upgrade has been completed, just no word on the motor or when parts will be avail.

So it is just sitting in Oxnard, rusting.

Mine (i4 M50) same situation as yours.

BMW's handling of these pre-delivery recalls are completely unacceptable, irresponsible & down right ASININE

Mine arrived at the dealer this morning after sitting at the VPC in New Jersey for 2 months. Dealer told me Friday that the stop sale was still on it, so I am guessing they will need to order parts and it will sit at the dealership 5 miles from my house for another 2 months while they wait for parts...hopefully I am more pessimistic than the actual situation is...we'll see.

My car has been at VPC since November. I'm told that they have performed the software update and there are no more stop sales on my car. My car is supposed to be loaded onto a truck early the week of 2/6/2023 for shipment to my dealer. Hopefully another stop sale or recall does not show up for my car.

Heard from the dealer this morning - they have the parts and it takes 12 hours, so 2 days, for the electric drive unit repair. I should get my car later this week!

Anyone know the parts situation? Seems to be a bit random on how they’re showing up at dealerships. Can’t seem to get a straight answer out of anyone.

Picked mine up yesterday from the dealer. They found out last week they would be getting the car Monday and they ordered the parts ahead of time. Got them in just a few days.

SA texted me today with the following:

Hi Aatish. BMW has remedies for the stop sales. They will address the issues at the prep center in Baltimore before they ship them out. I'll keep watching it for you.

I have the battery issue, so I'm assuming things are moving forward!

That is absolutely insane.

I got an email from a rep a while back. He doesn't work at BMW anymore...so I guess I need to find someone to talk about this with. Seems like some freebies or credit at minimum.

I4 stop sale

I just gave up. After 6 months wait to be built and 4 months at VPC in Oxnard and zero updates. The dealer in this case worse than BMW. BMW is just incompetent. The dealer dealership resorted to ghosting us.

After 10 months and tons of aggravation, Order cancelled.

Consider, if they have to repair/ replace the motor of a brand new, never driven car prior to delivery, are we getting lemon?

Yeah mine went radio silent once my car was dispatched from the factory.

I was worried I’d have an issue getting a refund as when I emailed my SA that I had moved on I hadn’t heard anything for a few days but eventually I got an automated confirmation that my deposit was refunded to my CC.

But this was for an iX that I ordered last September that’s victim of the driver’s side airbag recall/stop sale.

Ironically I gave up and got an i4 M50.
