Moving on from i8, back to Range Rover
Well, the time has finally arrived. An incredibly quick two years gone by, and the lease for the i8 is now nearly over. Time really does fly by when you're having fun.
Having returned the previous RR a few months back, I got to know the life of having a sports car as the only car. While I enjoyed the driving experience, there were times when having something just slightly more practical was desirable. So with that, I picked up a Range Rover Sport SVR. The supercharged 5.0 V8 is nothing short of intoxicating. The sound is unbelievable, and the front end lifting on a launch makes me giggle every time. That's not to say I won't miss the instant torque of the i8, the handling and stiff chassis. I do enjoy the ease of getting in and out, though Anyways, here's some pics...and till next time!

Well, you definitely don't need a special license to drive the i8 at its pontoon boat speed! That 5000 lb the truck is as fast as the i8. Pretty sad for a "sports car". Love ours! Nice upgrade.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and most beholders will flock around the i8 and ignore the RR.

Btw, I wish my wife had a station wagon. Would love a cts-v wagon! Have to settle for the Rover as our people mover. |

I stand by the “boat “ comparison.
You didn’t answer my question. |

Well, to spell it out since you apparently need it. This is a bmw forum and I own bmw cars. The op bought an awesome Rover that I also own. You made a negative comment about it to which I responded as I view the i8 as the least desirable hybrid sports car and probably least desirable bmw sports car. The boat comment is silly. Its an suv. It wasnt designed to be small and nimble. If you had called the new m4 a boat I could see it.
