Beaulieu Supercar Weekend

Enjoyed the Beaulieu Supercar Weekend again this year the only i8 present amongst dozens of Porsches, R8's, Lambo's, Astons, Ferraris and McLarens to name a few, so got pride of place in the BMW section along with the new 850i and the not so new Z8 and M1.

Cracking day out!

It’s interesting that there was only one i8 at your gathering. I find the same to be true at our local Cars ‘n Coffee as I have only seen one other i8 there besides mine and that was a while ago. Unfortunately, our monthly event at Blackhawk Plaza in Danville, CA was just permanently cancelled due to bad behavior by a few idiots. There were some simple rules to follow (no loud revving, no speeding when arriving or leaving - common sense stuff) but there’s always a few that wreck it for the many. It’s a shame because this was was a grand event with hundreds of automobiles of all types and years ranging from a crank-start Model T to a Pagani Huarya and everything in between. Lots of car talk and interesting people and vehicles. I am going to miss it.

Not the only i8. I was there

But I was parked in the demonstration drivers paddock.

Unless you were there on Saturday, as I was there Sunday.

Yeah, I was there saturday, sorry i missed you!! I did volunteer to do a demo run, but they didnt ask me to.
