I am the new owner of a 2018 i3s, dark blue, with technology package. I have owned several sports cars and exotics and have even done some SCCA club racing but this is my first BMW. At my advanced age I don’t need too much performance anymore. I find the I3 a wonderful around-town car. It is relatively quick, nimble and easy to maneuver and park. The build quality is what BMW owners brag about. My home has solar panels so my fuel cost is essentially zero. It has so many whistles and bells that the learning curve is relatively steep but I have it almost figured out. This is not my only car but the one which will get the most mileage. Whats not to like?

Welcome! I think most people would be surprised how good of a car the i3 is. The numbers are deceptive: the 0-60 isn't that fast, the range is not phenomenal. However, it drives nicely, even for us who have more sporty weekend cars. I still enjoy zipping around town in my i3 after a weekend of ripping around in my F80 M3.
