iPhone Connectivity Issue 2015 I8

Does anyone else have problems when connecting there iPhone via the usb port. I have and iPhone XS Max but had the same issue with my X as well. The car will not charge my phone and actually the battery will go down while it indicates it is being charged. The car will also rapidly connect and disconnect when listening to music from the phone. I have tried 4 0r 5 different cables it is not the cable.

I used my iPhone X and iPhone XS Max with my 2015 using the cable from the front compartment with no issues (charging or disconnecting). And I have listened to a lot of music via USB (not bluetooth) so I'd notice. How often does it do this?

Use an original Apple cable in i8. Nothing else.

Try disconnect your Bluetooth while plugged, or the other way. Just make sure there is only one type of connection on the same phone at once.

That shouldn’t be an issue, you need Bluetooth connectivity for voice commands in phone as it doesn’t go through the USB connector. When do USB is plugged in the media playback switches to USB path. He also is not getting charge

I agree with the apple cable. I use Anker and that works. But I've used others in other BMWs and it will connect and disconnect repeatedly. You have to find a cable that works.
