Remember the good old days, when all we worried about was a shortage of power seats or wireless phone chargers?

But look on the bright side: This will give Bremerhaven a chance to work down their queue of cars waiting for boats.

Yup. Not just BMW… VWAG has the same problem. Just wait until China decides to take Taiwan….

The i4 IS made in Munich and that factory is included in the disruption.

rumor has it that BMW is only going to build the first wave this year (the preorders people did on the BMWUSA site) after that production starts back in 2023.

It feels like it's up in the air at this point.

the rep I spoke to yesterday at the i4/iX reveal told me that currently BMW is just trying to fulfil pre-orders, and that "regular" production non-pre-ordered orders would start June (2023 model year).

Was told electric cars are more affected by the war in Ukraine than others, must be whatever parts come from the country. I have a GTD Golf on order for one of my managers and we were told VW are halting production for two weeks.

The company that makes the harnesses has 20+ locations around the globe. They are shifting operations.

It was convenient to have the harnesses made in Ukraine. The finished harnesses will just need to be shipped farther.
