Here are a couple of photos from the car I test drove.

I see Kias and Hyundais are being transported with pain protection! Open carrier without protection for all these brand new bimmers?

Yawn. Those who know, know a "true" M car when they see it. Those who don't frankly couldn't care less anyways. The snobbery is played out at this point. The M cars still drive as they should and that should be all that matters. Unless you drive it for the badge..

There's paint protection film on the hood and top of the car at minimum.

E90m3 owner here and picked up a model y last year.

The hideous massive grills on these cars actually looks not too bad on the EVs. Nice cars.

Waiting on hybrid / ev M3s next gen!

Yes, please do come down to this EV forum and tell us how much better your ICE car is and that EV's are slower, heavier, etc, also, tout how anti-EV you are for good measure. Well, guess what, we're all still getting one! (an i4 that is). But do let us know how bad you think that decision was!

It's amazing to see the bottom.. no drive train. All just a big sheet of metal!
That undercarriage sheet metal is nuts! Nice catch!

If this is true, what was the rear wheel size? Goodyear Eagle Sport are not available in 255/40-19.

Wallyf
Good catch. It appears that they are indeed Goodyear Eagle Sport tires.

Goodyear makes a BMW specific tire in 245/40/19, but it doesn't show availability in 255/40/19 size.

The i4 M50 ordering guide clearly shows 245/40/19 F and 255/40/19 R.

It is a Sad yet Happy Day!

I am Happy to see The i4’s coming in for many reasons! It is great we are moving further away from fossil fuels, and it is just great to see cars, period coming of trucks, after so long a wait!
I have to say though it is sad to se the back of that pretty I4 M50’s back end! There are 4 slots down at the bottom that seem so lonely, and empty, no shining Chrome tail pipes sticking out! If it were me I think I would have put useless Chrome tail pipe ends in the gaps, or just made the bottom of the under part of the back bumper smooth! Just saying! I am not a car designer, but I think I can do a brewer job than however made slots here tail pipes would have been, because it looks and feels so weird, does it not to you?
Anyway, I am glad there is not a need for or 4 tail pipes because I am glad for our grandchildren and the planet, but please it really just gave me an empty feeling when I saw that, and by the way, I agree with the M badge thing! Especially when these cars may be awesomely fast of the blocks, they just are not Motor Sports class, like my M6? I mean come on guys!
But again glad to see these new i4’s and IX’s in production! The World needs these! Heck my i8:still saves me mucho gas bucks, and I feel good about myself when I take it to the store, rather than my blue beast environment killing M6, but hey I love the power man ! ! Can’t quite kick the Habit fully , not quite Yet, gotta open up those baffles and hear that True 600 horses snarl! Now That is What M badges are supposed to designate! Real engineering power made possible by the brilliant engineers at BMW MS,!!

That's the diffuser not empty useless spot where tail pipes used to be. Granted they should have made it better looking but after looking at other EVs it makes sense since bottom of the car is completely flat.

Goodyear Eagle Sport tires

Just saw this review on YouTube by Beamer View. The tires are Goodyear Eagle Sport A/S front and rear. See below:

I guess Goodyear is making the Eagle Sport in 255/40-19 for BMW.

No respect for a review site that doesn't know the difference between a Beemer, Beamer and Bimmer.

Bimmer is a car the others refer to MotoRad..

A couple months ago I saw a camo'd car in a parking garage…and after the 2-3 seconds of looking at the car as I drove by, I couldn't tell what I was looking at. Is that a BMW? The tail lights truly look like an Acura…but it feels like a BMW?

Guess it was the i4.

BOO on the Goodyear tires. Be swapping those out for Michelin PS4S ASAP.

I don't blame you. I have PS4S on my Boxster S and they are fantastic! Few thousand miles on them so far.
