Is there anything special about pulling/replacing the front right axle out on these cars or is it like any other regular BMW?

My boot is torn and needs replacing or replacing the whole axle and dealer wants way too much. They seem to go for $450 on ebay. I've only done axles replacements in Honda/Acuras.

Also is there part from another car that would work for the front right i8? I've seen some videos where the rear axles can use the mini cooper axles if you swap out the cap that connects to the transmission.
