i8 lease return and a scratch

Of course I managed to scratch the front bumper on my i8 just 1 week before returning it; here it's a picture, it exactly 2 inches but no more paint;
Any idea what to expect in terms of charges?

That looks pretty minimal, I doubt you'll have any issues.

Even if the inspection calls for repair costs, you can call BMWFS and ask for the costs to be waived, that's also worked for me in the past.

For all but the second last lease return I had, the inspection was a piece of cake.
The second last lease return, this guy was over the top with the tiny details he was pointing out. Even differences in paint thickness, because of repairs from an accident. Repairs were done at BMW so I told him, that's not really my issue if you're not happy with the repair quality.

Last return, first time I ever did this, but grounded the car and let the dealer take care of inspection. They dinged me with all kinds of made up garbage.
Called BMWFS, and they took care of it immediately (cancelled all charges).

You were right, I just returned the car and zero charges! Love BMW!

Sorry Mike. The i8 is not low at all.

I was also surprised that it's 725, since bmw usual charge of 400$ max for one panel but I guess i8 using its own charge table, in my books even 725 would be ok since it's a min of $3/400+ touch up job plus have to deal with logistics of dropping my car for a min of 2-3 days and as always as soon as someone see i8 price goes up at min x2

All charges anyway were removed today by Bmw as a courtesy ( I'm on my 16th bmw

When I was shopping for CPO cars, I'd say roughly half of the 2015's had damage to the front bumper in this area. If BMW is charging people for the damage, they're not using that money to fix it. It's going up for sale as-is.

Nothing. I returned my i8 and had a few scuffs (one a deeper mark and sent on the front bumper by someone with a trailer hitch who backed into it looked like), many curb rash etc. initially the manager wanted to charge $900 for the bumper and wanted to charge for the wheel rashes; he did not want to and found a way to clear the bumper but I found in the lease return checklist which 'allowed' wheel curb rash so I did not pay anything.
