Ceramic Controls on i8?

Does anyone have ceramic controls on their i8? I just bought a 2016 and I don't see any posts about it or anyone retrofitting it.

TIA

I swapped over my idrive dial for a ceramic one. Very easy to do, remove 3 screws to pop off the center console and then unplug and unscrew the old dial and swap for the new one. Only took about 10 minutes.

I've actually been looking to do this myself. Where are the 3 screws to remove the console?

This guide for installing a carplay adapter starts with a great explanation on how to remove this.

The screws are one underneath the rubber recess in front of the gear selector and 2 on the edge of the tray beside the cup holder.

Where did you get the dial from?

It was on ebay. It isn't a coded item, do as long as you get correct version (3 pin from memory), it is just plug and play.
