I have i-drive, and I agree, no way that's worth $100. I don't even like the looks of it much.

Now, if someone would make an i-drive knob that was either black or walnut trimmed so that it matched the center console better, I would be willing to spend some money.

i love the before and after pics they posted.

for mere $100, we'll make your iDrive knob look like your transvestite mother-in-law's "knob" after it fell off after another unsuccessful plastic surgery and was specially crafted by AC to ruin your BMW interior look.

i don't get modding of your interior with non-BMW brands at all. as a bimmer owner, i wanna have BMW emblems all over, not stupid AC or hartge or whatever logos. i can see modding your engine to super-charge it, or adding-on some exterior parts, like rims, front lips, exhausts, rear spoilers that tastefully enhance the look and driving experience of you car. but undergoing a complete surgery of the interior making it looking like shit, removing all BMW badges from it and putting their own in there, i just don't get it...why get a BMW if you make it look like completely something else?

The new model year e60 has leather on top the the knob, wish I had taken a picture. Has anyone seen it, not bad at all.

Sucks the big one. That's something I'd actually be embarrassed to have in my car. Plus, the stock idrive mouse has pretty decent tactile feel - feels heavy and nicely weighted to me.
