Looking for an OEM BMW i8 car cover

Anyone got one for sale that want's to get rid of it?
They seem to be $475 new from bmwnorthwest.com

Are there better covers than the BMW one out there? I don't see too many aftermarket covers that allow access to the charging port.

Really like the OEM cover. Waterproof and fits like a glove.

No- the 2019 car is two feet longer than the 2016 and a little wider. Hard to tell from the pictures though.

They just made it marginally uglier.... with a tacky side badge and it lost the cool front bonnet air vent.

Much better battery and improved HUD and display though, plus CarPlay. But also heavier and more drag (worse aero).

1 step forwards, 0.9 steps back.

Where did the more drag (worse aero) come from? Different bonnet? Extra weight of side badge? Just curious...

Different aero over and around bonnet & front. Added drag confirmed at Leipzig.

As you are no doubt aware, they blocked/removed the front bonnet vent on i8 so that hot air didn't enter the cabin with top down on Roadster. That air was made to flow around the car instead of optimally, over it.

For production ease, they made the same modification to the update coupe.

For the same reason they added the extra bracing (weight) underneath the new coupe too, which was required only for the Roadster.

Partly to counter the weight, the suspension was slightly changed.

These changes are very small though, and there is little practical difference. But you can feel the extra weight and less stiffness on Roadster, especially on track.

The extra battery power counters the extra weight, so the updated cars are no slower in reality.

Off topic, but I was wondering if I can switch easily the bonnet from my 2015 to the 2019? I obviously like the old one better. And would the guys at lease return say anything? LOL

I suspect there are changes to the ducting below the bonnet. I know there are changes to the airflow management in the front bumper. So the answer is very likely no.

I got the WeatherTech Sunbrella one, water proof got it in less than 10 days.

Charger port and fits like a glove.

They are custom made, so they will have the different measurements for 2015 or 2019.
