i8 back window roadster

Picked up 2019 i8 Roadster!!
Is the back window supposed to be put up while I'm driving? When am I allowed to put it up with the top down?

I have driven with it up and down. Works as a windblocker at higher speeds. I have put it up at highway speeds. It has a stop after about an inch but then goes up all the way after pulling the toggle down again.

I guess my main concern, it is safe at speeds on the highway?

I would certainly think so. It sits in a channel between the two buttresses and is similar to wind blockers on other cars that I have had. Owners manual probably best source for confirmation.

Yes it's safe.

I've tested it at over 140mph with the hood down and glass up. (Autobahn)
