Tire Switch - Summer to Winter
When is everyone switching over to winters from summers?
In the northeast we have temps getting into the 40's. What temp should you switch over? I have always had all seasons so looking for some advice on when to switch over. |

To give you an idea, I do mine November 11th for the last decade and I live in a suburb of Montreal. I get the day off (or the Friday before/Monday after) and use it to get this done for my cars. |

When my car comes with all seasons or similar I usually wait until mid November when skiing starts.
When the car comes with performance summer tires I like to switch before our around the first snowfall (late October). I've seen too many performance cars stuck in a dusting of snow to risk running slick summer rubber, especially since I live on a bench. |

I'm still using my convertible on PS4s. What part of the NE do you live? I don't switch to winters until November. I did just order Scorpion Winters to put on the 22s.

I am in CT. I ordered the winter wheel package from BMW with the CCA discount.
I made an appointment for mid October to get them switched. I may move it back if weather is warm. Don't want to be caught in a surprise storm and can't drive. |
