I saw your description says "tow bar." Is that for the IX? I would love to get one for mine. And a roof rack.

Yes, my M60 (due into Auckland port next Wednesday) has the electric folding towbar, which is obviously available in NZ for all iX. It's a NZD$2500 option.

Does the tow bar prevent the kick assist comfort access from working to open the boot?

In the UK, tow bar is mandatory on the 50 and I really don't want that, but I do want the kick assist comfort access

Seeing this thread pop up was a good reminder that for all of the delays in getting our car, the M60 has really only existed as a production car for about three/four months! Feels like an eternity.

I don't think we were even given an electric folding towbar as an option here in Australia?!

I had the privilege of test driving an iX M60 last week, and I'm sold. I'm coming from owning a 2016, 2018, and 2021 Tesla Model X, plus my wife owning a Rav4 EV, Chevy Volt, Ford Fusion Energi, Ford CMax Energi, Cadillac ELR, and 2021 Tesla Model Y. Both of us are very likely to finally go BMW after all these years. I'll probably splurge on the M60, while my wife says she'll be more than happy with the iX xDrive50.

Such a quiet car with an amazing audio system (we're both musicians, so we notice that first). And we're not going to miss our Teslas due to the robust acceleration provided by both variants of the iX.

Can't wait to enjoy a more extended opportunity with an M60 to play with all the settings and get a more in-depth sense of the car.

Sure, I'll miss some of the things my Tesla provides, like the Surround View Dash Cam saved to USB and viewable on the main screen, Full Self Driving, and Summon Mode; but I'm getting a Head-Up Display, rattle/squeak-free cabin, comfortable ride, and a venerable company's reputation behind the vehicle.

Looking forward to participating more on this forum.

Welcome! We did the reverse - I drive the iX50 and spouse has the M60 - first EVs. Both incredible cars, and coming from about 40 years in ICE BMW's, on and off (Audi and Lexus). You'll love them. BUT, be prepared for complicated software glitches and frustrations, first model, new platform woes. Goes with the territory, but it's a great, new, exciting territory. Every drive is a smile (and an adventure), and I can't say that about every car I've owned.

Exclamation Edmunds Review

Looks like the iX is not only one of the most efficient EV SUVs out there, it's also outperforming stock estimates in terms of range in Edmunds testing and is Edmunds Editor's #1 choice now.

https://www.edmunds.com/car-news/202...range-test.htm

Also the M60 getting almost 340 miles real world range by OutOfSpec.

Bravo BMW!

Must be a joke

Just got in one of these as loaner while my '23 X5MC gets tires swapped for winter.

Sorry folks, this thing is a joke. Yeah, instant acceleration is there, but the interior has lost all that made BMW "luxury". Poor seat configuration options, closing the doors sounds "tinny" and rattles. Not too mention, what was BMW thinking with foot well configuration in the front seats?!? Reminds me of a late '70s pick up truck. There is soooo much space there that they could have used to configure the center console. And what's with the cup holders under the center console arm rest?? A Contigo coffee mug barely fits in there and its a pain in the ass to reach for it.

Luxury?? I think now.

BMW missed the mark on this in a HUGE way.....I'll stick with the X5MC gasser!
