Charging History Not Available
For this that have taken delivery, does the "charging history" part of the BMW app work for you?
I keep getting the "charging data not available…" error. |

must be a "problem" for the iX exclusively at this time. The app has been working fine for 2 years for my G05 45e, and shows full charging history events in the log
I only have ID7 in that vehicle ... but I'm assuming in the data/privacy section of iDrive you should have the same options. Ensure you have the proper data sharing settings enabled and try again and report back |

The FAQ docs indicate that the history isn't available when the car doesn't have internet connectivity. This is likely because eSIM is still geolocked for many countries (like Canada). It also appears that the iX can't be configured to use your home wifi for internet access when at home.

This all happens over the telecommunications module/service for Connected Drive Services. |

Press the start button 3 times quickly without pressing the brake to set the car into service mode. Then press and hold the volume button until the system restarts.
This reset is a "deeper" reset. After a SW update at BMW it didn't connect any more. The "normal" reset didn't do the job, but the service mode reset did. |

I've traced the mobile mybmw app and i can see that very little data is actually sent from the car and relayed through apple's eventing. The car seems to have some connectivity, but it is tightly restricted. Doing things like remote cameras is very laggy and slow. I suspect that the eSIM capabilties and then more "chatty" car communications are related issues. In the USA, BMW has a relationship with TMobile. This likely enables both the eSIM optional capabilities, but also has a discounted data rate for other car communications that BMW pays (likely doesn't pay, or is highly discounted because of the revenue split from eSIM sales). For other countries where this hasn't rolled out (like canada), I suspect that they are paying roaming fees for car communication. When ConnectedDrive rolls out for Canada (and other countries) I suspect that the charge history problem will clear itself up. |

I wasn't thinking this was the issue as both the OP (Ontario) & send post (Texas) had the same problem .... but very well could be the issue for the Canadian iX owners

I'm wondering if some of you don't have the necessary level of data sharing permissions set in iDrive, which will block that data from syncing with the Connected Drive cloud, and thus unavailable in the MyBMW App. I don't have my iX yet ... so I can't look myself and tell you exactly where to look, assuming its similar to my most recent BMW with iDrive 7.0 as far as having to enable the data sharing somewhere in iDrive settings. |

Looks like Connected Drive for the Canadians is limited ... was hoping that zephyr1108 can check the same and report back as this may be the issue for the Americans reporting the issue.
Apparently BMW Canada is still leveraging data from a paired bluetooth connection with bluetooth networking profile to your cell phones is what it sounds like. I'm not sure that you guys are going to get a resolution to this until BMW cuts a deal with a cellular provider in CA for connected drive data services |

Damn! that's really annoying. I guess we'll see shortly if my vehicle is affected ... expecting a mid-August delivery with the way the boat schedules are looking for NJ POE.
