Well not sure but it looks like theirs a tuner that has unlocked the real performance mode out of the 60ah battery i3 and not just the 94ah. I'll post back with more info when I get it !

Would like to know a little bit more about this: source, results, cost, etc.
Thanks.

Thanks.
Cost was 300 for the tune.

New motor mounts are a given.

But at the moment their so slammed with local jobs the remote jobs are on hold.

It's from a European company

So I have to wait till it becomes available.

Remember, they nerfed the torque for a reason. The prototypes had a problem with shearing the splines on the motor shaft.

That wasn't the prototype they did that part of a recall campaign, Since I was one of the early 2014 adopters I was lucky enough to exsperience the i3 with original software that was detuned in 2014 during the "update and recall". Against my wishes !

Hated that they did that.

They replaced the motor mount bolt and detuned the original oomph it had.

Now with the i3S and new bolts they used I'm not worried.

As far as the splines, parts are cheap enough if I get into problems I can replace rather cheaply. Gotta pay to play. Also no sure how much HP they added. If it's the same as the i3S then what are we worried about ? They all have the same parts

Also if I need to make custom stronger parts it gives me a project

Either way should be fine. .

Is it really just making the i3 into an i3 S though? Have a hard time believing they've wrote new battery & motor management software to pump more juice.

Probably, however since our 60ah battery is lighter then that would put us at a weight advantage over the current i3S .

Just a thought
