Not sure why this would be any different than any car in which the accident would pretty much make the door not open. That is why they cut parts of cars off, or break windshields etc. I think any accident in which the doors just pop open is not one I'd be very worried about getting out from.

And anyway if you plan to flip your cars a lot I'd suggest getting cheaper cars. More cost efficient.

He survived the crash, but a BMW crew threw him into an unmarked van and he was never seen again.

Doors open up on the i8 right. Most cars open out. I wouldn't want to wait for emergency crew to cut my doors off. Could also be trouble if something got too close to the roof preventing doors from opening.

Understand, but my point is most bad crashes will crush/deform the structure. So your "normal" doors don't open either. Thats why rescue personal carry "jaws of life" otherwise they'd just open the normal door and get you out.

This is just how the i8 was designed when technicians need to get under the car.

My guess is that he hit that fence and rolled the car DOWN that wall, not UP it. Notice the cones up top; possibly some sort of driving course up there.
